This platform can be used as the backbone for the transport of Multipoint Video, Stock Ticker Data, Electronic Medical Files, SCADA (Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition), etc. SMART Transport™ also provides a distributable mechanism for usage accounting.
The Two Main Components of SMART Transport:
SMART Master™ is the software element that encodes any type of multipoint data into SMART protocol, which enables the use of SMART Transport technology.
SMART Endnode™ is a software device that decodes any transmission from a SMART MASTER™.
SMART Repeater™ is an add-on for SMART Transport which can be used for highly secure networks needing multi-tiered encryption and a mechanism to hide the "system backbone" from unauthorized users.
SMART Media Suite™ is a collection of telecommunication applications (i.e. media player, TV guide, embedded browser, etc.) that capitalizes on all components of the SMART Protocol. Specifically developed for the Telco, Cable & CLEC industries, SMART Media Suite enables the effective broadcasting of HDTV to a mass audience. SMART Media Suite™ also delivers substantial savings in bandwidth consumption and takes advantages of all the security and reliability features of SMART Transport.
SMART live viewer™ is a media player tool-set that includes an embedded browser that supports SMART protocol to the end user ("the glass"). This viewer includes a partial "stubby" Endnode and allows access to program guides and the internet.
SMART intranet™ is an extremely efficient method of distributing video across a privately controlled LAN or WAN network, which will allow a company or organization to dynamically transmit (or tunnel) point-to-multipoint video content and data over point-to-point links to a corporate intranet environment. SMART intranet™ can also be used to support television delivery to college dormitories, etc.
The SMART box™ is an inexpensive SMARTcast™ enabled in-home device, which is embedded with SMART protocol, for end-user application.
SMART protocol analyzer™ is a plug-in for use with Wire Shark, which enables end users to decode the SMART protocol in real time. This product is applicable to Telco, Cable and CLEC.
